Overview

CJC-1295 without DAC, also called modified GRF (1-29), is a short-acting analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Ipamorelin is a small peptide that activates the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), a separate pathway that also triggers growth-hormone release.

Combining a GHRH analogue with a ghrelin-receptor agonist is studied because the two act together on the pituitary. Ipamorelin is known for its selectivity, with little effect on cortisol or prolactin in published studies.

Research areas

  • Pulsatile growth-hormone release from the pituitary
  • Synergy between GHRH and ghrelin-receptor signalling
  • IGF-1 levels, body composition and recovery models
