Overview
Ipamorelin activates the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) in the pituitary, a different pathway from GHRH that also leads to growth-hormone release.
It is valued in research for its selectivity: in published studies it raised growth hormone with little effect on cortisol, prolactin or appetite, unlike older secretagogues.
