Overview
SNAP-8 is an extended version of the well-known cosmetic peptide argireline. It mimics part of SNAP-25, a protein that nerve endings need to release the signal that contracts muscles.
By competing with SNAP-25 it reduces that signal, which is why it is studied in cosmetic science for the appearance of expression lines.
